Days and weeks seemed to pass. She was never quite sure how much time had gone by. Nor did she know where she would be from moment to moment. There was a peace that came with being removed from day to day activities, yet there was something that gnawed at the back of her mind. Something had happened to her. Something really awful... Novel

A fatal car crash on a parkway in present day, suburban New York sets into motion a journey of self-discovery that unlocks the truth about a young woman’s family lineage and its connection to a sinister secret which dates back to biblical times.

The victim is the father of Jessica Flannery – a young woman who possesses a strange, supernatural gift, the origin of which she does not understand.  Her father’s death thrusts 17-year-old Jessica into a series of events which will ultimately lead her to discover the source of her strange ability as well as reveal some painful truths about her identity.

Jessica’s revelations begin in Long Island, New York and take her to Los Angeles and eventually to the West of Ireland.  Along the way, she faces further adventures which systematically peel back the layers of the reality she has come to understand.

Her journey leads her to a mysterious church, populated by the rich and powerful and shrouded in centuries of secrecy.  It is here that Jessica learns some carefully guarded secrets about the origin of evil and the battle for control over the earth’s social, religious, and political organizations – a battle which, she eventually comes to realize, centers around her.

The novel addresses several issues such as the duality of our nature, the origin of evil, as well as the common threads between biblical and mythological stories. It also chronicles a young woman’s journey from innocence to an often painful awareness of the nature of existence and the true character of the people to whom she is closest.

Although the story is observed through the eyes of a teenager, it is intended for an adult audience.
